WINSLOW is a privately owned, large, English Tudor style family home situated on fifteen acres with five levels of living space. This gorgeous home has been remodeled from top to bottom over the last five years and had its new unveiling with a Christmas Open House in December 2007!

The lord and lady of this manor had never been to Colorado before 2002.  They came that year to visit friends, saw and admired Echo Manor Inn and took a picture of because it was so pretty and the lady loves English Tudor Style.  The next year in 2003 they visited their friends again and the Inn was for sale! They fell in love with Pagosa and bought the Inn and have been renovating it ever since. They have done the designing, wallpapering, faux painting and decorating for the remodel themselves, but have been greatly assisted and could not have done this project from afar without their contractor, subcontractors, engineers and teams for the multiple structural changes and updates in this vast endeavor. The lord of the manor has a background in business management and music and loves to play piano and drums at home and at church.  The lady’s background is in interior design, set design and theatre. They both love to drink tea, hot or iced, work hard, entertain, and spend time with their seven children ranging from six years old to eighteen! The antiques, vintage furniture, accessories and art work throughout this home have been collected by the owners over the past twenty-five years and have been either trucked, shipped or flown in from England, Canada, Vermont, Ohio, New Jersey, Georgia, California and Colorado! Something in one form or another has been purchased from almost every shop in town right here in Pagosa Springs! Continued...

By Summer 2008, our lower level guest quarters will be available as a rental by itself, or can be included with the top five levels at an additional price. One bedroom, living room and bathroom area is themed Safari with African Animal fabrics-wallpapers-area rugs, etc. The living room area in Safari can handle kid & teen groups in sleeping bags up to twelve in this space.  The other living area and bedroom are all done in Pirate Theme (with a cannon!) and also has floor space for sleeping bags. This entire quarters has two bedrooms, a small kitchen, private entry, full bathroom and two living areas. Thus, the total bedrooms for Winslow is twelve with eleven bathrooms and five living areas.

Although the Stagers continue to reside in California to run their swimsuit company, Sunsets Incorporated, and to attend the many music and drama events in which they participate, the family plans to come back to Winslow on the Shire eight or nine times each year. Continued...
